Three Product Washing Cyclones

CWP Three Product Heavy Media Washing Cylones were first developed in 2003 and first manufactured in 2005 after a long test and research period.

Chasis body, inlet and outlet of CWP Three Product Cyclones are made of carbon steel material. All of the internal surfaces are coated with high abrasion resistant ceramic material (Alumina 97) or they are made of high abrasion resistant Ni-Hard 4 cast material.

CWP Three Product Cyclone is developed for flushing coals containing high mixture that are difficult to wash.

 Feeding sizes:

  • Pump feeding: +0,5 mm – 50 mm
  • Gravity feeding: +0,5 mm – 120 mm

  Operation Principle:

Feeding is made in first section of cyclone together with heavy media prepared in a certain density under pressure of 0.65-0.95 bar. Clean coal is obtained from the upper side of the first section of cyclone. Mixture and discard with a part of heavy media are transferred to second section of cyclone of which ambient density is increased. Middlings is obtained from the upper outlet of cyclone and discard is obtained from bottom outlet thereof.

  Advantages

  • Heavy media is not prepared in to different densities, only one media is prepared at lower density.
  • Only one cyclone mechanism is utilized instead of two different cyclone mechanisms.
  • Only one mixture tank is sufficient instead of two seperate mixture tanks.
  • Less pump requirement
  • Lower energy consumption ( 40 % -50 %)
  • Lower operation costs
  • Lower installation costs
  • Lower magnetite loss
  • Lower heavy media circulation in the system.
